A global citizen with a vision
Originally from Djibouti, Mahad has lived, studied, and worked across Tunisia, Canada, Senegal, and France. This multicultural upbringing instilled in him a deep intellectual curiosity and humility. Immersed in diverse cultures, he developed adaptability, open-mindedness, and a keen ability to navigate complex environments—skills that are indispensable in today’s interconnected world.
- Early academic pursuits: Graduating from a French high school program in Tunisia in 2010, Mahad sought new challenges by moving to Canada for his Bachelor’s degree. There, he honed his English skills and embraced collaborative learning through numerous group projects, enhancing his teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional beginnings in Senegal: After completing his undergraduate studies, Mahad’s professional journey began at Ecobank in Dakar, Senegal. Immersed in the world of treasury products for corporate clients, he quickly earned the trust of his managers through his reliability and dedication. This foundational experience ignited his passion for finance and set the stage for his future endeavors.
Advancing expertise in finance
Determined to deepen his financial acumen, Mahad pursued a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering in Marseille from 2015 to 2017. His studies encompassed a wide range of disciplines, including accounting, financial analysis, and business valuation.
- Internship at HSBC: During his master’s program, Mahad interned at HSBC, assisting Relationship Managers with case preparations and client interviews. This role perfectly blended client engagement with risk management, reinforcing his decision to specialize in this field.

Mahad’s career is marked by significant contributions to major financial institutions:
- HSBC France (2017-2021): Serving as a Relationship Manager in Paris and Normandy, he managed and developed a diverse portfolio of businesses. Mahad fostered strong client relationships and delivered customized financing solutions. His analytical prowess enabled him to assess financials and sector indicators effectively, identifying and managing risks with precision. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided crucial support to businesses, offering guidance that underscored his commitment to client success and economic resilience.
- CIC Strasbourg (2021-Present): Currently, Mahad plays a pivotal role in funding projects across multiple industries. He has honed his financial modeling and forecasting skills, delivering comprehensive insights to credit committees. Specializing in leveraged finance, he has successfully navigated complex transactions, enhancing his strategic vision and solidifying his reputation as a finance expert.
